2026 Summer Reading Challenge

Register at the Library between June 1st & July 18th.

Pick up an activity log. Complete the activities on the log.

Turn in your completed activity log by August 1st and choose a small prize.
Participants may complete additional logs, but will only be entered into the prize drawing once. Large end-of-summer prize drawings will be held on August 3rd.
Mini Archaeological Dig
Wednesday June 17th at 7:00 p.m.
Join us as we go on an archaeological dig of Ancient Greece right here in our library!
Each attendee will create a mini dig site and practice skills like excavating and recording artifact finds, just like real archaeologists (only on a much smaller scale, of course).
Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
All materials will be provided.
Registration is required.
Unearth Your Family Stories
Wednesday July 8th at 7:00 p.m.
Join us for a fun and informative evening with members of our very own library staff as they share ways you can discover stories about your family history by using different resources such as artificial intelligence, newspapers, and more.
Great information for genealogists of all ages and skill levels!

Home Buyer Workshop
Saturday June 6th at 10 a.m.
Join us for a home buyer education workshop covering budgeting, credit, evaluating housing needs, working with a realtor, mortgage sustainability, mortgage products, closing costs, and borrower obligations.

Drop-in Library Activities
All summer long, we will have in-person, themed activities for adults. No registration is required to complete these activities. Activities will vary.
