Reading is more fun with a friend—especially one with paws! Join us for Pages & Paws with Porter, a special reading program where children can read aloud to Porter, a loveable and friendly therapy dog. Reading to a non-judgmental listener like Porter helps young readers build confidence, improve fluency, and develop a love of books in a relaxed and supportive environment. Perfect for emerging and reluctant readers!
Readers in grades K-5 can register for a 10 minute one-on-one reading session with Porter to practice their reading skills. A guardian must be present with each child during the session. Please arrive 5 minutes before your session begins so we can stay on schedule! If you are unable to register for this date there will be more dates to come in the future.
